this comes about a month after brock turner was released from jail and about a day after the governor signed a new rape bill into law. this rape allegedly happened in the suspect's dorm room with the victim early saturday morning. they both are students, a male and a female. the victim has yet to give a statement, so no arrests yet. police also do not know the identity of the suspect. a medical professional contacted police about the rape when the victim came in to get care. this, as you can imagine, frustrating police because they can't solve this yet, and also making students downright nervous because an alleged sex crime puts their campus in the spotlight again. >> the university does not tolerate sexual violence, sexual assault. however, we have to respect the victims and their right to be confidential and process whether she wants to come forward and provide additional information. we encourage the reporting. it's very important. >> just after turner, brock turner gets released from jail, this happened. >> yeah. i think it's just really -- i don't know, it makes me a little bit u
