it's very interesting here at the blast site here in san bruin oh you can see barricades are still up. they still keep the public out. as you look beyond the barricades, the view has changed a lot of instead of the ruins of homes, remember there were 37 homes destroyed in that immense explosion, there is just leveled dirt lots. the city and county officially announcing that the cleanup has finished. the health department with the city of san bruno has said it tested the soil on about a third of the lots so far, at least testing those soil samples and giving it the clean bill of health, if you will, so they still have to do that with the remaining lots. eventually the people who live here will be given the go ahead and to come in here and rebuild. the question is how many people will want to come here and rebuild. we'll have that part of the story coming up. meantime, reporting live here in san bruno, bob redell, "today in the bay." >> thanks, bob. >>> 6:33 right now. in just hours a man charged with killing a teenage girl as he tried to outrun police will enter his plea in court. bern
