correspondent bryan llenas once again tracking the scene on the ground. he joins us live, good evening, brian. >> shannon, good evening. tonight is at all about the nypd cracking down on curfew violators. we are more than three hours after the 8:00 p.m. curfew that was put into effect yesterday, the curfew lasted until sunday and we were live on the air when they started moving in on a group of protesters at about 9:00 p.m. here on third avenue and 50th street. it started pouring rain and these protesters were cornered essentially, surrounded by the nypd. they have been protesting for hours peacefully but by then it was in our past curfew. they moved in using bikes and started zip tying, resting at the end of the day, 94 people arrested at least in our location. this is the scene all around the city tonight based on what we are seeing, the nypd moving in on curfew violators, all peaceful protesters from what we understand, but again, they want to clear the streets. we spoke to the chief of the department at the scene. take a listen. >> we've been giving i

tonight thousands of people ignoring that, they are on the streets, and so is our correspondent, bryan llenashe's back out there with them tonight to see the mood and how things are going, good evening. >> shannon, good evening. after yesterday, 300 or so people were arrested for curfew violations. there was a lot of criticism for the nypd from activists and protesters who thought the nypd was too aggressive towards peaceful protesters despite the fact that they were violating the curfew. today we followed protesters and they dispersed about a half hour ago. it started a little rough with some pushing and shoving at the beginning. they were telling people to please go home, they have been following this group of 200 protesters throughout brooklyn for a couple of hours and then it was seemingly amazingly good news today, it deescalated. after the nypd sandwich time between avenue, a supervisor told them, look, we are going to let you guys go, but please go home and at that point, protesters started filing out and going home. a de-escalation moment that frankly is good news given the fact that
