let's discuss what's going on with erin burnett. she's the anchor of erin burnett out front.alking to ceos across the country. what did they say? >> we have a strike team, wolf, of about 20 ceos, some of them entrepreneurs, banks, small companies and some of the biggest industrial companies in the country and they all talked about the jobs number this morning. in terms of their own hiring and this is the interesting thing right now, the 17 have responded so far and 14 of them are hiring right now, three of them are not. so when you actually look, these are big companies, ford, dupont, cisco systems are among the companies hiring. that's positive news, but they do seem, more and more of them a little bit of a stalling in the economy. allen coleman, and she's hiring and doesn't think it feeds more stimulus. i am hiring and this will clearly be a slower recovery, so this will be more negative. this is what happened last summer. you were yoo was the big culprit there and that has a huge effect on u.s. jobs and that could be what we're seeing again. the question is is this just on

i'm erin burnett. we are getting exit polls from wisconsin where republican governor scott walker is fighting to keep his job in what likely is the most expensive recall election. the results of the election will say a lot about how the state and the country is going to go in november. that, of course, is the $64 trillion question. john king with the exit poll numbers. what is crossing right now? >> could be the $80 million question. the results are fascinating. we are going to be up late tonight. this is a very close race. what started all this? a big fight over efforts to restrict collective bargaining rights to get union members to pay more for health care. our union members dominating the vote today. interesting question. 32% of the vote is in the recall election say someone in their house hold is a union member. it was in the 20s in the 2010 election. this tells you the labor unions are getting turnout. we are seeing other data suggesting republican voters are coming out in higher levels than 2010

i'm erin burnett. outfront tonight, decision time. it's the biggest and most important election before november 6th. and it's getting started in just under 12 hours. wisconsin republican governor scott walker fighting what is probably going to end up being the most expensive, high-stakes recall election in american history. democrats want walker out after he and the republican-controlled legislature voted to strip union members of collective bargaining rights. remember all those pictures of just complete chaos in the state capitol? democrats accuse walker of waging a war on unions. republicans say they're doing their jobs, trying to stem a budget crisis in the state. it has become one of the most bitter political fights in america, pegging big business against big labor. talk about two sumo wrestlers. neither of those groups on those own are loaded. together it's money on steroids. you're talking about $80 million just for this race. that is pretty stunning. the impact of tomorrow's election is going to be felt across the country. joh
