caltrans crews used explosives to get rid of those boulders. the slide is mostly cleared and highway 1 is now open south of big sur. however it is still slow in that direction. crews are still trying to rebuild that bridge and that will take longer probably into late fall. >> jeff ranieri is back completely us. two forecast as we go into the summer our own forecast and the fire forecast. >> we continue to have sky ranger out and getting us live view of this fire. it is currently off towards the north of west of mariposa. you can see how high the smoke plumes are going in the atmosphere. it is creating its own wind pattern and you know, storm affect if you will the way they get these up drafts and downdrafts and making it unpredictable for firefighters and it has an easy time tonight completely flames that are growing and could be getting closer to mariposa as we head into tomorrow. the thing firefighters are fearing tomorrow is a much dryer wind coming out of the east northeast that could drive the embers, the flames possibly closer to mariposa
