they say caltrans has actually requested a sweeper for that area.t means at one point in the next hour or so, they are going to have to close westbound 580 all lanes again to traffic. so you will come to a complete stop if you're on westbound 580 heading here just east of eden canyon road. that is going to be another issue. we've got a long ways to go as far as getting this all cleaned up. let's take a look at sky 7. you can see the big rig has been moved over. two lanes closed, westbound 580 east of eden canyon road. the big rig weighs about 30,000 pounds. it's going to be quite an effort to get it out of there. this happened about 4:45 this morning. it's 6:33 right now. all lanes were blocked for about 45 minutes before they were able to open up a couple of lanes. we noticed all morning long. it appears they've been closing lanes on and off. it looks like that's going to happen, too, as caltrans comes out and tries to clean up. chp is going to have to block all these lanes. a big issue on westbound 580. the problem is not over by any means even th

the green is the alignment to connect to the existing eastbound caltrans on-ramp. this project should go out to bid this fall. and move into construction next spring, and then be completed in the summer of 2020. at the 95% drawings for this work are being reviewed by public works, and m.t.a. and other city agencies currently. which brings us to the westside bridges. you can see the bridges or the bio debt structures that carry treasure island structures on the west side of the island they are, this, again, was part of the initial funding commitment that the t.a. secured from the federal highway bridge program as well as state prop one b., to reconstruct these projects. participation is limited to only those costs that would be ineligible under those other programs, which consisted, primarily, of some of the preliminary engineering and design, now that the project is moving into final design and construction, i will forward to going commitment is quite small. but again this project is planned to begin construction in the summer of 2020 after completion of the initia

caltrans is expected to have all that wrapped up they are still, but the delays are still there at 20 miles per hour approaching the scene. they may be wrapping up because speeds are improving a bit. but if you are heading out the door, you may be on the brakes. here's 84 at university as you coming off the dumbarton bridge. you can see it's getting a little crowded but we are looking good in the green making your way over from 880. 580 at macarthur, we had an earlier crash. it looks like it's not causing slowdowns. it's reported to be blocking a couple of those right lanes. as you can see, speeds are at the limit in both directions. here's a live look 580 at high. it looks like everyone is getting through the area with no delays. 580 to 680, headlights moving westbound out of the altamont pass area, and you can see that we are definitely seeing the crowds develop. but no reports of any accidents or stalls. looks like a lot of that overnight roadwork wrapped up. so that's the good news there. the bad news is we are seeing the brake lights, 30 minutes. hat's a check of your traffic; ov

caltrans finished with the overnight roadwork.we are still seeing residual delays. it's not quite as bad but this is along southbound 101 as you make your way through palo alto between university and oregon expressway. that's where the closure was. but again, lanes have reopened. westbound 580, it's a struggle just trying to get through the altamont pass area. we still have one lane blocked right near grant line road. this is a hit-and-run crash. and that backup continues to stretch along westbound 205. it's beyond tracy boulevard at this point. once you get to 580 it's a little under 40 mis "super re l heading through oakland in both directions. over at the bay bridge toll plaza, grab your sunglasses. you're going to need them. it's bright out there. the metering lights are on and we have a travel time that's climbing up towards that 20- minute mark. that backup is not quite to the foot of the maze. so there's some good news there. it's just slow once you get past that 880 overcrossing. hat's a check of your traffic; over to you.
