for the bridges here, a live look at the ben franklin bridge here in camden.e already knew it will be closed for the weekend of the papal visit. but today -- yesterday i should say it was confirmed that all other bridges between new jersey and philadelphia will remain open. a transportation official demonstrated the walking route that people will have to take over the ben franklin bridge if they want to see the pope. while you won't be able to drive over the bridge, you can still walk across it. as far as public transportation in new jersey, new jersey transit says the river line will operate on a 15-minute schedule on september 26th and 27th but there will not be service in downtown camden. special river line tickets will be required. they go on sale tomorrow at $5 each. the atlantic city line, that will run but on an express schedule and only between ac and 30th street station. special tickets will be needed for that as well. they go on sale tomorrow at noon. the round trip cost is $30. officials say if you plan to drive your own car to park in camden, as i

in camden. matt, where are you now and how is it going? >> reporter: right now, we are by the fountains at logan circle. we are getting a little bit more daylight out here. we started the journey at 4:30 and went over the ben franklin bridge and started our walk from the base of the bridge to where we are right now. it's been an hour and a half of walking and quite a bit of walking and a little more than a mile, i would say. you can see we are in the view of the basilica where pope francis will be giving mass on saturday, 26th. over here now we can finally see the art museum by eakins oval and where the pope will give his mass on the 27th. things we hope will never happen, the worst case scenarios. lease these public safety agencies have been making those plans from the very beginning once pope francis announced he was coming here. i asked the camden county sheriff's office if people need to be evacuated from center city, philadelphia, what happens then? we know the ben franklin by this is shut down to vehicles so a mass exodus of pedestri

. >> reporter: i spoke with camden county public safety officials earlier this week to get some more details about the planning that is going into all of this. their estimation is that 80,000 to 100,000 people will be walking over the ben franklin bridge to get into philadelphia for that papal visit next month. this bridge will be shut down during the papal visit and only pedestrian traffic will be allowed on it. this bridge is 1.8 miles long one end to the other and then you have to walk through the city, through the crowds and to your spot to see the pontiff and that can add up to about four miles by our calculation and that is not all. >> we have upwards, i think they are talking about 10,000 people an hour going over that bridge. it's a lot of people and, remember, they go over, they are going to come back. so there is two sets of tiers we have to be concerned with. >> reporter: as i mentioned earlier, my photographer matt and i will be walking a portion of this. part of the reason for that is as you go over that bridge, 1.8 miles, we are actually going to be saving a little bit

we started over in camden earlier this morning.so we are making that walk all the way up to eakins oval where pope francis will be making that papal mass. we were talking earlier about the bridge and a lot of people are going over that bridge. about 10,000 people an hour is the prediction from the folks over in camden county. camden for the most part is shut down to cars. parking lots will be closed as well. there have been meetings almost every day for the better part of a year on this. now camden county has been coordinating not just with philly agencies but 15 different groups from local police to the secret service and a lot of work to move people around. >> in the city here, we are expecting -- particularly with regards to travel and trying to get from a to b is going to be difficult and there is going to be road closures and traffic congestion. you can't get from point a to point b in the normal time you are used to. >> reporter: the advice is don't drive if you don't have to. no matter where you are. that will clog things up
