matt delucia is live in camden. you got a look at the training. what did you learn? >> reporter: when it comes down to it the officers i spoke with say all of this talk about 21st century policing and community policing means nothing without the training to back it up. here is what some of the departments are doing. take a look. an exclusive look inside. here is a group of officers from camden county, and toms river, spent three days in what's called a reboot camp learning about the ethics of protecting the community and work on verbal, dees ka clags and skills. they are using mentors in the department to keep the training going after the class ends. lieutenant tells me this earthquake withed on a case about a week ago, a knife wielding man may have been killed but the skills learned led to a peaceful arrest. >> i think the more important aspect is gaining that ethical clarity so that when they are out there on the street, when they are i want acting with people, doing certain things, that at its core they are doing things for the right reasons. >> reporter: we're go
