we think this is the same gas station, just before the canopy fell. you can see one of the leaning over. and if you're just joining us, we're giving you exclusive looks at the damage from chopper 10. we're flying over waverly storm's aftermath. we'll keep chopper 10 up throughout the morning and show you more of the damage as we continue this morning. to really get the scope of this week's severe weather, let's look at the storm in numbers. so far, a total of seven people died this week - four in virginia yesterday and three in the south on tuesday. according to a preliminary report from the national weather service, 16 tornadoes hit on the east coast alone - 8 in virginia, 5 in north carolina, and 3 in florida. we're still waiting to see if the damage from waverly was because of a tornado. cnn reports 52 tornadoes touched down across the country since tuesday. after the storms hit our area, they moved further north causing destruction in washington, d-c, philadelphia, and new york. here's a look at just how strong the wind was in new york city. it ti
