aaron gilchrist and julie carey are live inside the convention. >> they just wrapped up the roll call and we're now in a recess and sort of the exciting moment of the afternoon where we listened to the states and territories assign their votes. the final count today was 2,061 votes for mitt romney and 190 vote did go to congressman ron paul and julie carey you have been watching some of the local delegations and how they went through this process, right? >> kind of their moment in the sun. that voting process wrapped up 20 minutes ago. it is important to point out that the official nomination won't hap until thursday. let's take a look right now at those spotlight moments for the local delegations. the district of columbia cast 19 votes for romney. from maryland, 37 votes were added to the total and after that later in the count, virginia governor bob mcdonnell who will speak later on this evening announced 46 of the commonwealth votes would go to romney and three of them went to ron paul. not a unanimous vote and virginia was among a handful of states that still had poll delegates. n
