in getting to know carl, my takeaway is this isn't about b.a.s.e. jumping., figuring out what could push you beyond your own limitations and really inspire you to kind of go beyond your comfort level in life, to do things that, you know, might push the limits a little bit. so i don't think it's really a film just for b.a.s.e. jumpers. i think it's a film for anybody that's, you know, willing to kind of explore in life. >> we know that b.a.s.e. jumping as we're seeing it here in one of the many national parks, b.a.s.e. jumping is illegal under federal law, in almost all national parks. there have been 275 b.a.s.e. jumping fatalities since 1981. you take issue, marah, with peop people focusing on the danger of the sport. why is that? >> i don't really take issue, it's just that i think there's a lot more to it. a lot of sports are dangerous. the interesting thing about dank in national parks specifically is because it's, quote, illegal, actually it's not illegal because it's not sanctioned by the national parks, it actually is more dangerous, because b.a.s.e.
