both in carroll county and in harford county, a lot of the damage here in towson and some parts of northern baltimore county is more isolated and we're dealing with situations like this one here. that is a pretty big tree that has crashed through this house. and just assessing the damage from right now and some of my experience with dealing with tornadoes and tornado damage, the high wind reports that we've seen in this area really are not consistent with that of a tornado. we've seen a couple of situations like this one uprooted trees which usually mean high winds when there's no other damage around the area. so there is one thing to take into consideration here, though, when you're dealing with an ef-1 tornado that has a maximum sustained wind of 94 miles per hour, that type of storm is capable of uprooting trees but usually we see a lot more damage surrounding it. that would be shingles ripped off homes, other downed limbs in the area and we're just not seeing that right now. very quickly, i did get some storm data from the national weather service and they are telling us as far as repor

certainly a lot of the damage we saw in carroll county and harford county was more consistent of that -- of a tornado. very quickly, i did get some information from the national weather service as far as storm reports here. we've had 17 tornado reports. 113 high wind reports and 64 hail reports. that's for this entire storm. most of those reports coming from the mid atlantic region. and north into new york. and parts of pennsylvania. now, today, folks from the national weather service will be out and about and going to some of these different areas to assess the damage and confirm whether tornadoes struck down or the damage that they're dealing with has to do with high winds. but again, here in towson, we're hearing about certain situations of trees down like this one here in the 600 block of chestnut avenue. at pine ridge golf course, they're dealing with some damage there and downed trees. a lot of work for tree removal crews here and one quick note, i was talking to some of the contractors out here and believe it or not, they plan to have this tree out of the house within the next
