i'm a 25-year resident of the castro and also homeowner in the castro.so court -- a member of americans for safe access. the nation's oldest and largest medical cannabis advocacy organization. as a qualification of medical panic -- cannabis who suffers from migraines and a teddy, i am asking you to amend section 7 to allow medical campus patients -- cannabis patients to smoke and a prize in the plaza. my migraines come on quickly and my doctor has recommended i use it. eating medicated foods takes too long. whereas medicating by smoking or by vaporizing, it gives me great relief. if smoking cannabis, if you are going to smoke -- prince looking cannabis, i ask that people be allowed to vaporize. a portable vaporizing in it. i've always been respectful of other people when i have medicated in the plaza. never have i had one complaint from somebody around me when i am medicating and have not had any problems with any of the other people. please create an exemption for qualified medical cannabis patients as myself. i am asking you to allow safe access to qua

the castro has very, very limited public space. while there are great parts on the periphery of the neighborhood, in the castro itself there is very little public space. jane warner and harvey milk plaza is not large. those are small and they've restrain space. there is a very diverse array of people using these spaces and it is important that everyone be able to use them. most public spaces in san francisco, while freely available to the diversity of the community, they have roles. we have a very extensive parts code governing the parts system. none of these roles have undermined the freedom of the enjoyed community. rather, these rules make sure that these spaces are usable by everyone. through a quirk in the law, the jane warner and harvey milk plaza is not covered by any of the rules typically applied to public spaces. recently san francisco has added a significant number of public spaces, with jane mourner being the first such space. we have turned parking spots. it has been expanding and i know it will continue to expand in t

i helped former castro after dark which is a coalition of nighttime businesses in the castro.er dark i took the lead on crime reduction issues. i do not know how many people are aware. there has been an increase in things like petty theft in the castro. people are coming in and stealing iphones and smart phones and wallets and things like that. one of the things we have been working on is working closely with sfpd with mission station to put together an alert program where the bars and restaurants and cafes are working to promote awareness and educate patient -- patrons to watch their belongings and be careful. also i put together a program where the bars can communicate to each other and with the police by texting to a single number that goes to the security staff. something happens at one bar, it will alert all the other bars so they can be watching out. going through the neighborhood and -- someone going through the neighborhood and stealing smart phones, let's be extra vigilant. i am putting together a series of training sessions for security staff at the bars for things l
