big rig caused significant damage to the center median wall which caused caltrans to come out and repair that wall. the driver of the big rig was transported for he's doing okay in the hospital. >>reporter: looks like all of the westbound lanes are open, but the eastbound lanes kind of a mess out here. when are these lanes going to be open? >> that's correct. caltrans and chp are working diligently trying to get these lanes open. the repairs to the wall needed immediate attention as well as the cleanup from all the debris. >>reporter: i want to serve this as a reminder to drivers out there, this was the first significant rainfall that we've had, it's been pretty dry for most of the winter. but what advice do you give for drivers out there that are going to be seeing rain in the next few day? >> this is the first of a couple storms rolling into our area. we want to encourage drivers to slow their speeds, allow a safe following distance between the cars in front of them and that would allow proper reaction time with the other cars out on the roadway roadway. >>reporter: this terms of this scene, another half hour to hour until all lanes are clea
