director chang, our vice-chair aaron peskin and district supervisor and district 7 supervisor, milgar is here. this was the most transformative project in our half cents sales tax program. creating a direct ride from china town to the light rail. the ta was a key partner from the beginning. identifying this line in our 1994 four corridors plan and providing more than $500 million in sales tax and other ta funds or about 20% of the full investment and that in turn leverages the money that speaker pelosi was able to get us from the federal level and that senator wiener was able to get us at the state level and thanks to everyone and here we are and i want to thank the voters and i want to thank speaker pelosi again for the role she played in helping us get that transportation half cents sales tax passed back in november. people said it couldn't be done and we got it done. we got it over the finish line. thanks to everyone who helped us that's generating $100 million a year in funding for transportation investments like this.
