they are obviously the coldest up to the northwest where it never did get above 21 degrees in charles city. 28 here in cedar rapidsp in's dubuque. farther to the west, a much stronger dissubbance is going up into canada and dropping quickly to the southeast by the time you goat to sunday. that's what's known as the clipper. clippers bring southernly winds and that's why warmer temperatures are expected as we get towards the weekend. however, by sunday night, you can see the storm track starts to buckle as the clipper moves southeast. then we get that a strong on the backside of this low pressure, much colder air moves into the upper midwest. this will also generate snow showers and some gusty winds. i do think there is the chance we could see up to an inch of snow later sunday night and monday. our model indicates about an inch and a half. that'd be the worst case scenario, but with that cold air and high winds and snow on the ground in north central iowa, there are blizzard watches in effect. that is a long ways away. i don't think we'll have much of an issue with that, although it will g
