kyw news radio reporter cherri gregg is live at the scene, and cherri, we are learning more about whatpened. >> reporter: yes, we just spoke to captain nicholas brown, just a few moments ago and he has confirmed that a 24 year-old victim was stabbed to death, here outside of 1830 a luxury high rise condominium building here, near 19th and writ rittenhouse square. what he said was it began as a fun night likely for st. patrick's day weekend, the 24 year-old victim was with friend, walking through the park when a some type of a argument ensued and it ended up with him being stabbed. now police are not releasing all of the details just yet but they are pulling surveillance video, and we understand that the man was rushed to hahnemann hospital, where he was pronounced dead and here's philadelphia police captain nicholas brown with more details. >> witnesses account he was stabbed across the chest area. then he fled the area. he was going southbound on 19th street and eastbound on manning street. we do have some video footage of the incident that we're looking at right now. >> reporter: and
