kyw news radio reporter cherri gregg is live at the scene, and cherri, we are learning more about whatpened. >> reporter: yes, we just spoke to captain nicholas brown, just a few moments ago and he has confirmed that a 24 year-old victim was stabbed to death, here outside of 1830 a luxury high rise condominium building here, near 19th and writ rittenhouse square. what he said was it began as a fun night likely for st. patrick's day weekend, the 24 year-old victim was with friend, walking through the park when a some type of a argument ensued and it ended up with him being stabbed. now police are not releasing all of the details just yet but they are pulling surveillance video, and we understand that the man was rushed to hahnemann hospital, where he was pronounced dead and here's philadelphia police captain nicholas brown with more details. >> witnesses account he was stabbed across the chest area. then he fled the area. he was going southbound on 19th street and eastbound on manning street. we do have some video footage of the incident that we're looking at right now. >> reporter: and

cherri gregg, for kyw news radio for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >>> funeral services are set for a newersey state trooper who was hit and killed by a car in the line of duty. a viewing for 31 year-old sean cullen will be held sunday from two to 7:00 and monday morning from 8:00 to 11:30 at saint game me owe church. it will happen at noon followed by intern. at lake right memorial park. trooper cullen was struck while managing the scene of the accident on i295 in deptford monday night. he later died at cooper medical center surrounded by family. cullen was a trooper for almost two years, so far, no charges have been filed against the driver who hit him. >>> well, a small plane goes down in montgomery county and pilot was able to walk away with only minor injuries. >> the plane crashed into a field this afternoon near ridge pike and penn road in limerick. authorities say pilot was taken to an area hospital to get check out. it is unclear if the plane encountered some type of trouble while trying to take off orland, at a nearby airport. >>> also in limerick this morning one person was hur

kyw news radio reporter cherri gregg is live at the scene where police are piecing together exactly what happened. cherri, what can you tell us. >> reporter: good morning, rahel. yes, a tragic scene what likely started out as fun for st. patrick's day weekend has ended with a 24 year-old man, stabbed to death here, near corner of 19th and rittenhouse square. the as you can see this is a very active scene with police tape, and they were crime markers here earlier, and as detectives from homicide, and the crime scene unit the investigate. police are not releasing many details but what we do know so far is that the victim was out again for st. patrick's day weekend where there was some sort of an argument. incident ended with a 24 year-old man stabbed, he was rushed to hahnemann hospital where he was pronounced dead. police say suspect fled down 19th street, going south, the crime scene investigators picked up the victim shoes, and the green necklace and coat a good samaritan used to help stop rick tim's bleeding. all of those items have been tagged, bagged and taken with police. back out h
