cheryl connor abc 2 news. >>> thanks, cheryl. the ravens torrey smith played against the patriots just hours after his younger brother was killed in a motorcycle crash. the wide receiver was at a hotel night when he got a call his younger brother had been killed. the 19-year-old died around midnight in northeast virginia after the motorcycle he was riding on ran off the road and hit a telephone pole. police say jones was wearing a helmet and alcohol was not a factor. ravens fans were shocked by the news. >> i couldn't even imagine what he's going through right now, but, you know, he wants to be there for his team and, you know, it's just -- can't even imagine what he's going through. >> ravens coach john devastatingly sad sad news. right now the patriots and ravens are still playing. the patriots are up 27-21 in the fourth quarter. >>> meanwhile baltimore plus are looking for a suspect this afternoon. it happened just before the intersection with lawrence street. a man was shot in the leg. police are still nfthing that case. >>>

cheryl connor, abc2news. >> he will be laid to rest tuesday following a private service. >>> aberdeen police officer is dead after a bizarre accident. the canine officer fell some 47 feet to his death off an elevated exit ramp early saturday morning. he was on a party bus returning from a trip and pulled over for an unknown reason. it appears to be a tragic accident but they will try to determine why the bus pulled over and why he got out. >>> a bicyclist was struck and killed. the 27-year-old jason leonard was sitting in the middle of the road after falling off his bike. now according to police he was then hit by an car. they are still investigating this incident. >>> and a man is killed and ten others hurt. the 27-year-old anderson died when his van crossed the center line west of queen highway and hit an m t a bus head on >>> the car traveled backwards more than 40 feet before it caught fire. firefighters had to use the "jaws of life" to pull the people out of the car and anderson later died at the hospital. the 14-year-old passenger is in the hospital in stable condition tonight.

cheryl connor. >> crab house caught fire tonight. two alarmer gutted the place on north point road about 15 customers, five workers in the restaurant when someone saw smoke out of the basement. everybody made it out. there is a fire engine just passing by so they were there but the building is really damaged tonight. >>> even on the eve of a new police commissioner the idea of going after bad guy was guns continues. just after 10:00 last night a special city unit that goes after the worst of the worst spotted somebody who looked like they were carrying a gun so as they approached this guy he took off, ran into a house. police came right in on him and that's when they say he reached in to his waistband and pulled out a gun. police shot him in the lower body. he is in the hospital in stable condition with charges, waiting for him when he gets out. >> after 2:00 this morning a shooting on alameda. a 22-year-old was shot while standing in the front yard in the 4700 block of leders court. she didn't survive. police believe she wasn't the
