we're the chp office in dublin with more on the investigation. >> reporter: yes, chp has not yet identified the little girl but say slat she and her family are from martinez. and both parents were injured in this crash. currently her father is still remains in the hospital. with major injuries. a black dodge was in the number 1 lane. the driver admitted to falling asleep at the wheel. his black dodge, then crashed into the rear of a white toyota corolla and pushed it into a third vehicle. the impact caused the black dodge to turn over. four people were injured. unfortunately the 9-year-old girl suffered fatal injuries and died. chp says the girl was in a car seat in the back of the white toyota. the girl's father is currently stillen the hospital with major injuries. her mother was in the frtwo oth told had minor injuries. now, the driver who allegedly caused the crash has not been identified. but lee has been reported as being 56-year-old man from tracy. it's not believed that any drugs or alcohol played any role in this crash. it's unknown at this time if that driver will be facing any ch
