chris pollone looks at this new chris: los angeles police say that a small knife is being tested to see if it is connected to the murder of o.j. simpson' s former wife and her friend. >> they are going to study and examine it. chris: police confirmed the story first reported by tmz. a former traffic cop turned the night over to detectives. that officer claims he was working off-duty on a movie shoot near o.j. simpson' s house, when a construction worker gave him the knife. >> he claims that a construction knife, it was found on the property. chris: a jury acquitted o.j. simpson back in 1995. since then, the case has remained open. a murder weapon has never been found. investigators are treating this discovery with skepticism. >> we need to determine if this is evidence. if it is not, how do we prove it is not. the only way we can do that is to be able to challenge the people involved, as to where it was recovered and where it was alleged to have been. chris: o.j. simpson is currently fiction. under the constitution, he cannot beat retry for the murders, regardless if the knife is connec
