brad miller entered the building and then confronted christian taylor. police chief says that taylor was screaming obscenities 10 police officer but there was no physical altercation between officer miller and christian taylor. the police chief says when christian taylor was seven to ten feet away, that he had separated from his partner and entered the building away. christian taylor was seven to ten feet away when he fired the first shot. then his training partner caught up with him and deployed his taser. then officer miller fired another three shots that killed christian taylor right there. he was hit in the neck, chest and abdomen. the police chief described the actions of officer miller as troubling. >> as you pointed out, this officer was still in training at this time and his training office they are with him of course. prosecutors are obviously going to be looking into this case for possible criminal charges how many damning could his testimony be? >> it is clear from what the police chief said, they laid a lot of blame on officer miller. as you

spoken to the officer involved in the shooting, 49-year-old brad miller who shot and killed christian taylor in the early morning hour s of friday. taylor was a football player at a local college. he shows up at a car dealership acting erratically. you can see this video here that we just obtained overnight attempting to punch a car windshield. next he jumps on top of the hood of a car, tries to smash through that windshield. he's wearing sunglasses at night. behaving very strangely as well. at one point he drives his jeep, according to police, into the front of that car dealership. police chief of arlington, looking at that video there of his driving into that front windshield, police chief spoke about this saying it's going to be a comprehensive investigation. clearly he's saying that he has a lot on his plate right now. the timing of this, about one year since mike brown was shot and killed in ferguson, and he mentioned that yesterday. the -- the father of this individual, christian taylor, spoke to the media, as well, talking about his son. >> shoot an unarmed man? and you trained to tak

what actually occurred. >> now, there were two officers involved in this confrontation with christian taylorller is a rookie. he fired his gun four times. the other officer is a 19-year veteran of the force. he used his taser. could experience have played a role in the decision about the use of police and should the this trainee should he even have been there on the scene when a call like this was made? >> oh, experience, absolutely is very relevant and especially these use of deadly physical force when you have a more experienced officer who does not use deadly physical force. you have an officer with limited amount of time and really, a tremendous limited amount of time on the job itself who does use this firearm and uses it four times as opposed to the more experienced officer who used non-lethal means, at least attempted to in the interaction there. so definitely is relevant and speaks in addition to time on the job or experience, it also speaks to the current level of professional standards across the nation in policing and whether or not there needs to be a further examination of that,
