i'm cierra johnson in for marcus washington. we are tracking the hot weather moving in and the potential for an increased risk of fire danger as we look forward towards the weekend. let's start with meteorologist kari hall. what can we expect for the rest of the week? >> well, we are going to see a wide range in temperatures and we're already seeing that right now as we take a look at san francisco at 64 degrees. you compare that to redwood city where it's 77. the also 77 across the bay over towards heyward and 86 right now in livermore. you can see some of the warmest temperatures there for our interior valleys. you compare this to 24 hours ago. it's about 10 to 14 degrees warmer than yesterday at this time so we're already on track to see that warmer air moving in and now the heat advisory starting up as well as the excessive heat warnings through these areas shaded in pink. where you see the bright pink. that's where the temperatures will be the most intense as we get ready for this high heat. let's go through the temperature
