some kids in cedar rapids saw circus elephants and horses close-up today. the ringling brothers and barnum and bailey circus is visiting the u-s cellular center this week. and today performers showed 60 students from the cedar valley montessori school how they care for their animals. the elephants showed off a little of their talent in painting and smashing pumpkins. the host of today's event says she hopes this gets more children interested in working with animals. "because of my love for animals is the reason i'm here and i hope to inspire some of these children to care about animals and to follow a path to maybe be a veterinarian or be in the circus itself.
