it was a gorgeous sunset with the cirrus cloud cover. it will be cloudy again tomorrow. are talking 60s still in santa rosa. livermore and oakland, oakland at 64. san francisco down to 57. san jose 59. san bruno 5 degrees. live picture of san jose. mainly clear currently. now that we're grabbing more of the ocean influence, temperatures will not be as chilly. it's been cold as you walk the kids to the bus stop or take them to school the past couple mornings but tomorrow morning not as chilly. oakland tonight 49 degrees overnight tonight. there are changes coming and that sunset actually played into it. let me explain. we have a ridge of high pressure which is moving away so the peak of the ridge is way offshore and clouds are coming down over the ridge sliding into the bay area. so the cloud cover that tells us the ridge is moving is the same cloud cover that gave us the gorgeous sunset so it's peeling away. step one of a two-step process. something has to replace the ridge and thankfully it is rainfall. not a widespread soaking rainfall but something will be coming down
