claudia cowen is live with details. good evening. >> reporter: good evening, bret.nd police are still on the scene of the mass murder hours after gunfire rang out as classes were getting underway at the asian religious vocational school not far from the oakland airport. according to witness report an asian man who had been described as a disgruntled nursing student here at oikos university pulled out a gun inside a classroom, shot a student point-blank in the chest. and then began spraying the room. killing seven people and injuring three others. oakland police are on the scene within minutes but not before the shooter got away. a suspect was arrested a few miles away from the school at a shopping center parking lot. one witness reportedly described the shooter as "looking crazy all the time." why he opened fire, if he was targeting someone specifically, those are unanswered questions at this time. one thing is clear, tonight in oakland, seven families will start to have to plan funerals. back to you. >> bret: we'll continue to follow the story here on fox. claudia,
