nbc 10 delaware bureau reporter tim furlong live in claymont this afternoon. working outdoors is a fact of life for many folks. how are the people you spoke to making out in these conditions? >> reporter: it's a fact of life for me certainly today working out here. lots of us have bosses who put us out here. we founded this firewood place and gardening center on philadelphia pike in claymont. we also found they have a fire pit going. they were over here recycling these christmas trees on to a truck. they have a nice warm fire pit. unfortunately many people are not able to sit by the fire pit. the guys who work here knew it was going to be brutal they say their fingers and toes are feeling the cold by the end of the day. we also stopped by a nearby do it yourself car wash. i know you want the road salt off the car badly but today might not be the day. it is just so cold. down the road we found construction workers clearing a lot where they're going to build a cvs drugstore. except for the one guy we met from michigan who more or less told me to stop whining. >>
