the first time since 1921 that either of these cities has seen a storm of this magnitude in clearwater, florida will not only weather and right now hurricane ian is rapidly intensifying near cuba before it heads into the gulf of mexico. some 50,000 people have been evacuated from a province in western cuba. people living there are securing water tanks, while government authorities send in medical and emergency personnel in havana. boats were removed from the ocean in anticipation of the storm surge and bill. this is going to get a little bit stronger as we move on here. yes it got up to category two today. just when it goes off shore of cuba, it looks like it's going to turn to a three and then a four. here is the most current position. 105 mile an hour winds category to havana's read about here where the tip of the arrow is, it turns into a category three. once it drops off, the landfall probably stays a category two as it crosses cuba. but here's the story and just what the big story really, and we're gonna get. a lot of this is up towards tampa bay and see if i can get this to move a little
