the clinton barely escaping a loss led to talks of a campaign shake up. according to the new york times mr. and mrs. clinton were discussing bring on additional staff members. reporter maggie pointed out the clinton's muscle memory is to talk shape upbringing in old hands saved her last night. now a source says there are no plans to shake up the staff. i sat down with democratic congressman keith ellison. i began by asking whether the clinton campaign was in good shape for the contest to come or do they adjust their strategy after struggling to beat sanders? >> i think she's doing fine. i think bernie had a good night. hillary had a better one. that's what she needed to do. she did what she needed to do which was win iowa. what her stock and trade is she's experienced. she's done this before. she's the person who is most prepared to be president. that's what she needs to keep doing. i wouldn't change a lot. >> congressman, you've campaigned a bit with bernie sanders. i think last night a victory, an outright victory would have shocked the political world.

>> i think the hillary clinton campaign gets the hell out of new hampshire. it's a good night for bernie. a bad night for hillary. i think the campaign have seen in for a little while. they managed the expectations of it. telling everyone they're going to lose new hampshire and lose it pretty decisively. if you look at what they're saying tonight, you know, you might think that this is partly truth to this. you look at the nevada campaign, the state where the kay cuss electorate is overwhelmingly hispanic, and she does very well with hispanic voters. then they go to south carolina where 50% of the electorate is african-american. she's doing incredibly well with african-american windows. there is a 50-point spread. that is a good place to start coming into march. and then remember, in marc march--after those first four states are done, about 4% of the total delegates will be awarded. by the middle of march 50-plus% will be awarded. they have their eyes on the long ball. those are states where they've had a head start in terms of organizing. the math seems to fa

the actual campaign chairman for hillary clinton ran the state in 2008 for the campaign and has a real making sure that he gets what will be the first solid win for his candid in the cycle. mark: bill clinton has a big relationship with new hampshire. he has a pretty rich relationship with that state. how much do you expect to see him and how much influence will he have over hispanic and union voters? adam: one of the things hillary clinton has going for her is bill clinton. he is out here all the time. he golfs here a lot. when i went inside, i did go and see bill clinton at an event. there were people lined up for hours waiting to see him. there is something else to remember about nevada -- it's a very transient state. people keep moving in and out. the voter population today is a lot different than 2008. i would not assume there is a connection to bill clinton. i think that is really the big question. john: you can vote on the casino floors. does bill clinton have more influence at the bellagio or the las vegas suburbs? adam: the suburbs. there was a big fight about this last night
