it doesn't mention hillary clinton or show hillary clinton.o that leads bernie sanders to tell me, it's not a negative ad. what is your impression of this ad? >> i think every independent person has been watching that, including journalists and writers know it's a negative ad and an attack ad. he's used personal attacks and doing it through innuendo but i think everybody watching and paying attention to this, caucus goers are doing know exactly how negative this ad is. >> in watching hillary and bill clinton campaigning, it seems she is taking the sort of softer role and bill clinton is in charge of the attack lines. is that the way you've assigned the jobs for the two clintons out here in the closing days? >> hillary clinton has been out here making a forceful argument for his campaign and drawing a clear contrast. she's very strongly making the argument that people want a president who will produce real results to make a difference in their lives now. not wait for things that may sound good on paper. but will either never happen or simply do

listen. >> hillary clinton is not bill clinton. bill clinton did, i think, we can all acknowledge was totally, totally, totally disgraceful and unacceptable. but i'm running against hillary clinton. i'm not running against bill clinton. >> it's -- now it's in the -- that's the democratic race. >> i was out in iowa last week and you saw both the good and the not so good of bill clinton. he had 500 people each at his events which is more than you get at some republican candidates events in iowa. he had the crowd going and the great applause lines. he got fronted by reporters about the trump criticism and it's going to trail him everywhere he goes. but you know that the clinton campaign at this point sees it as more of a positive than a negative because of what maggie is saying. there's something they going on whatever he can bring to the table to help her at this point they need. >> in a lot of ways it feels like '08 after obama won in iowa. it looked like he was running away with the nomination and hillary clinton wins in new hampsh

clinton maintains a double digit lead including one on tuz. clinton's lead has also eroded in iowa. among likely democratic caucus goers, the most recent register has her head by two points, 42% to 40. that is a statistical tie. a month ago this poll indicated clinton was ahead by nine. in new hampshire the latest poll indicates sanders is beating clinton by 14, 53% to 39. the first in the nation primary is to be held on 9 february. if you put stock in political history, a lead in iowa spell serious nomination trouble for hillary clinton. the iowa caucus came to national prominence as the first contests in the presidential system in 1972. since then both parties every candidate who has won both iowa and new hampshire has always won the election. the only one to lose both and win was bill clinton. that clinton exception carries an ass terror ifk because the iowa was not without tom harkin. in 2008, a year when iowa was competitive obama won the iowa caucuses launching him towards a long drawn out nomination victory over hillary clinton. you can appreciate why clinton held nothing bac
