it is names like kellogg, clorox and kimberly clark and campbell's soup, names like that over the course the fact that the market has fallen off. it's not even that they have fallen less than the market. they're actually winning in an environment where everything else is falling by the wayside so that's the consumer staples trade. not a surprise there what was interesting was to dig a little further and take a look at some of the other stocks that have been doing well over the last week. financials, but not the banks. it's the insurance companies take a look at these performances over the course of the last week. cigna corp health insurance up 5.5% to 6% cincinnati financial up 2.5% big insurance company in the s&p. and then travelers, a dow component, up about half a percent as well. so in an environment when you've got tech stocks falling 6, 7, 8, 9, 10% in a week, actually having green performance for consumer staple stocks and insurance companies may be one of the places where the market does hypothetically take another leg lower and there's a near term precedent for some of that out
