so it's just starting to edge its way into santa rosa, but it's been in cloverdale and ukiah for several hours now. so it's been a steady rain, and this is once again the first in a series of two storm systems that will be moving in. the next one will be here on wednesday and maybe a little bit stronger. this storm system moving in will continue to fizzle out, weaken as it moves into the peninsula, into the east bay. by 6:00 today, we're seeing the leading edge of that rain starting to make its way into the south bay, but we can see the rain kind of falling apart, so the showers will be very hit or miss by this evening, when it moves in. so we're looking at the possibility of getting for most areas along the golden gate bridge off towards the east and the south getting about a quarter inch of rain or less, maybe a little bit higher for the north bay, but the next storm system moving in will bring us much more rain, and also some gusty winds. so i'll be watching that. a live look out there in the sierra, squaw creek, it's a beautiful start to the day, nice stretch of some dry weather, but

santa rosa on northward, a closer look shows where the pockets of that heavy rain now approaching cloverdale also moving into ukiah, and it's just to the north of guerneville. so this is what we've seen over the past several hours, as this slow-moving system starts to sag its way into the bay area. but we've seen the rain across far northwestern california for the past several hours, as the storm continues to move through. so as it moves in, it looks like a lot of that rain will continue to weaken. so by noon, we're not seeing as much in the way of some of the heavier rain, and gets lighter as it moves into the east bay and the south bay as well as the peninsula, and by 7:00 to 8:00 tonight, we're seeing some of that rain starting to edge its way into san jose, and then quickly moving out by late tonight into early tomorrow morning. there may be a little bit of a break in the activity going into tomorrow, but another storm is right behind that, and will be bringing us some rain between late tuesday into wednesday, and this is, may also be when we get gusty winds. so this first storm moving i
