similar story with some scattered showers around healdsburg, cloverdale, ukiah.nd this is all moving into napa county as well. over the next hour or so. so on the storm impact scale, it's a level one today for showers. even the potential chance of an isolated thunderstorm. if one pops up, we could see some hail, large breaking waves along our coast, and even some minor coastal flooding during times of high tide. the next couple of days, with our king tides underway, looking at temperatures right now, we're in the 40s and in the 50s. so future weather showing you throughout the day. it's mainly the north bay that will be dealing with the showers. outside of the north bay, it will be a mix of sun and clouds and drier conditions. so highs today will be in the upper 50s. lower 60s. folks in the north bay take the umbrella with you as we track those isolated showers throughout the afternoon. let's check in with sue and see how those commutes are going this morning. >> good morning drew. good morning everyone. we've got better news now. we had a couple of earlier sig a

tonight as we look at live doppler seven, we are still tracking some spotty showers right now across cloverdale highway 101, geysers road, taking you into street level radar as we take you back in time. we had a line of showers go through just enough to dampen the roadways. as you can see here, and certainly has been snowing in our mountains, which we will take any time. the low and the energy is still to our north, but the front has come through now. behind it we have all these speckled clouds indicating the colder, unstable air. so that's why the showers are going to continue ahead of it. we're seeing the waves getting picked up right now. 12 footers at point arena tomorrow a high surf advisory goes up in the morning. it runs until saturday morning. large breakers 12 to 18ft is going to raise the risk of any dangerous swimming and surfing conditions. so watch out for that. king tides are coming up. coastal flood advisory tomorrow morning until monday afternoon. tomorrow morning at 926, low lying areas could see flooding 6.7ft as the high tide. so watch out for that. you know the park and ride

if you live in this area, that's cloverdale, middletown, healdsburg, santa rosa, ukiah, navarro, even knoxville, saint helena, you really want to get those storm preps underway because we're tracking a lot of rain, not only just wednesday, but for the rest of the week. so here's a look at wednesday's rainfall. several inches around santa rosa, clear lake, ukiah. outside of those areas, it's not all that bad. we're talking low rainfall amounts. watch what happens on thursday. watch this area specifically. watch those numbers climb. we're talking half a foot of rain. by that time. in some portions of the north bay. and then by friday we get more rain area wide. finally, that storm track is on the move, but by friday evening there will be some areas in the north bay that likely receive more than a foot of rainfall. and that's why we're highlighting the flood risk there. so here's the accuweather seven day forecast. sunny and breezy today, increasing clouds tuesday, then wednesday and thursday. the highest impacts will be felt in the north bay by friday. that storm track is finally on the

this is going to be veneto, which is just over 1200ft west of cloverdale.in total. our observer, eric and west healdsburg had 23, so that makes sense. santa rosa since july 1st. i use the rain year, not the water year, which is october 1st. i use the july 1st rain year now over 16in of rain, which is 342% of average. not too bad, although it does look like for the next 7 to 10 days we'll get into drier weather. the plume of moisture continues to take aim at us, but there are some noticeable breaks in it and the rainfall has been kind of just santa cruz mountains. uvas canyon 87 100, boulder creek and bonny doon 83. mount diablo has had three quarters of an inch. other totals pretty good rain up in santa rosa. they had a half inch of rain. gilroy had a half inch. atherton 48 100. san jose 44. davenport 44. fremont a third, livermore a third. san francisco a quarter. and oakland picked up just a little bit more than 2/10, really winding down to the north more cloud cover, maybe even some mostly cloudy or a few sun breaks. if we can get this out of here fast e

santa rosa, stretching into cloverdale and lakeport dealing with light to moderate rain already in that system is expected to sweep to the south as we head into the next couple of hours. timing this out, if you are a morning commuter, 8:00, 9:00 a.m. in the north bay, watch what happens. we get bands of rain sweeping to the south and we could see gusty conditions. i only advance the clock an hour so from 9:00 until 10:00, noticed the same system moves into san francisco along the 101 into the santa clara valley around 11:00. it's a fast-moving system, especially with heavier pockets of rain associated with that 9:00 until 11:00 system. 2:00 is when we catch a break from the heavier showers. we will see lingering showers tonight but in total we are expected to see half an inch of rain in the north bay stretching into the santa clara valley. let me show what's happening the next seven days. a dry day tomorrow and the back end of this moving through. more evening showers expected into wednesday. at that point we will see cloudy skies and temperatures widespread holding on tight to the low

they'll already be a few light showers pushing into the northernmost part of our viewing area between cloverdale and santa rosa. and it really gets going by about 6 a.m. as the full body of that more organized rainfall starts to push into northern sonoma county between 6 a.m. and about 9 a.m, the north bay will be blanketed by light to moderate rainfall, with occasional downpours. then, between 9 and 11 a.m, we'll see that frontal system swinging down through the golden gate onto the peninsula over into the east bay. it will be wet with a few downpours reaching from places like half moon bay to oakland to livermore, out into concord and stockton, and then by about 2:00 in the afternoon it will be mainly gone, except for a few trailing light isolated showers, and it will head over into the sierra, producing snowfall. there. so let's take a look at the exclusive abc seven storm impact scale. this is a levl one storm, a storm of light intensity. but again, there will be periods of downpours, light to moderate rain, slippery road, breezy to gusty conditions at times. and by 11:00 tomorrow night we'l

it's at 1200 plus feet west of cloverdale and healdsburg. they picked up 24in of rain.that is well deserves a well santa rosa. i use the rain year, not the water year, which starts july 1st. it's now over 16in of rain since july 1st. majority of this, as you know, fell last week. there are now 342% of average. the moisture train, if you will, continues. we're not done yet. although embedded within that, it's more of a steady light rain. uvas canyon up in santa cruz mountains. 87/100 boulder creek and bonny doon. 83 mount diablo is up to three quarters of an inch, trying to get as many areas as i can, but gilroy, atherton, san jose, davenport, 4004/100 to 52. fremont a third livermore third city quarter of an inch in oakland has picked up 0.21. there's just not much left to the north. there's still a little bit. but again, i think you're winning on any of this. if it's just a little bit. but majority of this is east and south and i do emphasize south. a lot of this is pushing through. but it's a light rain drizzle and it's not ending yet, but the steadier amounts and the

in between ukiah, cloverdale, probably up towards cloverdale. geyserville. healdsburg. boonville.p there. and amounts even though you know they're not off the chart. we'll take a quarter of an inch to now just on this panel, you're seeing you know, a quarter of an inch to a half inch. but already there are amounts in the russian river and mount tamalpais that are exceeding those. so usually double. that's the old rule of thumb. whatever san rafael gets or santa rosa double it. south wind beginning to show itself. half moon bay as the south wind to about 25mph. there 55. a lot of 50s on the temps here. 40s in the mountains. winter weather advisory is out up there. that starts at 10 a.m. now. it's going to take a while before the snow level drops. it will be around 6500ft, but eventually it'll get down there below lake level, 2 to 8in of snow being forecast. that goes from 10 a.m. until midnight, and we'll add to the rain here and the snow up there, 1 to 8. and then more on the way. looks like late wednesday into early thursday. so our first system is sweeping in, and it looks like

lima, petaluma, novato, rohnert park, cloverdale, orinda, occidental and windsor all between 36 and 39ve seen projections here, what we call the mos model output statistics for santa rosa, napa airport and fairfield of 28 to 29 on friday. so just to let you know, it's on its way cold up already in lake county, mendocino county, upper lakes 30, middletown 35. point reyes station, also at 37. yet point reyes itself 50. there is an offshore breeze. that's why fairfax 39. they've dipped in their novato now 37. so a little bit of fog, but there's just the air mass is getting to dry and there's enough of a breeze. i mean, when you get lows getting down to about 3435, it really you know, it's tough to support the fog. but it might be an issue going forward here by the weekend. a little bit of an east northeast breeze i'll say oakland berkeley hills also at mount tamalpais, also up in sonoma county, mount veeder to atlas peak. it's not strong, but it is there. and that will lead to probably pretty nice temps on the coast. you get that little breeze even though it's you know, the days are short
