in moor head city they have had rain today. so the coastal areas, the ones getting socked with the rain and the cool temperatures. doppler radar shows most of the rain, the steadier rain to the south and east of the metro area. and that's where i think it will stay a while. a few showers south of the district drifting to the north and west. our storm scan shows the big picture of rain that's socked along the mid-atlantic coast. we're getting a flow of moisture from the southeast and it's bringing a lot of cloudiness and also prohibiting the temperatures from climbing. the warm spot is reagan national at 80 degrees and everybody else in the 70's. here's this coastal front. the individual areas of rain are drifting to the northeast. the problem is the front itself is stationary. there are element moving in the northeast, and what we're thinking over the weekend, tonight tomorrow and sunday the steadiest rain will be from the metro area eastward. for d.c. metro north and west, there will be occasional showers, but it's not going to be a rainout.
