the numbers now it's warm and 82 in martins creek and 81 in pots town and coatesville and 86 in saint david's. and 85 in cinnaminson and vineland and 82 in sea isle city and 85 in smyrna, delaware. how about the dew points? it feels great in the lehigh valley, they are low into the 50s. just barely 50 there in reading, yesterday we had dew points in the 70s. that is a huge change from the oppressive humidity we had. and 60 in philadelphia and cape may feeling sticky with a 70 degree dew point. but that will change and get comfortable for everyone. take a dip in the pool and lots of sunshine and much less humid at 2:00 we hit 88 degrees and the high is 84 and we hit it at 3:00 and hold at that at 4:00 p.m. tonight is a great night, comfortable with clear moon lit skies, some of the out lying suburbs are in the low 60s. feeling great overnight. i want to show you this looking at the five-day heat wave with yesterday's high of 96, we have heat like this even more so coming right back at you. here is the seven-day forecast, the break you want to enjoy because it doesn't last long. >> all

look at trenton, 73 degrees and 72 in coatesville because the heavier rain cells have already moved through there. we're still warming south and east of philadelphia. still 83 degrees right now in dover, delaware, but the rain and pockets of heavy rain and even thunderstorms are expected to continue through the next couple of hours. doppler radar showing there's plenty of moisture on the map here. we're keeping a close eye over here near trenton because that's where our focus is for flash flood warnings, parts of middlesex and mercer county still having close to 5 inches of rainfall in the last couple of hours. that is going to continue through the overnight. we can expect the isolated showers, some of it heavy rain and thunderstorms to just continue through the early part of our saturday night. this is showing where the heaviest rainfall has fallen so far. you can see here northeast of trenton as i mentioned, 5 inches of rain already on the ground. dangerous situations there for folks who are out driving in and about in parts of mercer and parts of middlesex county that will stay in effect

in coatesville police officer is recovering from a broken sternum after someone attacked him basicallyt random. take look at this dash cam video police say eric watson threw a rock at a police cruiser with officer jared davis inside this afternoon. when officer davis got out police say watson tacked him and hit him in the head with a rock. another officer ended up helping davis arrest watson but ended up with a broken sternum out of the ordeal and that officer is at paoli hospital tonight. prosecutors have charged watson with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and host of other charges. n baton rouge, louisiana tonight authorities are shining more light on this man. 29-year-old gaff vip long from kansas city. investigators say the marine veteran shot and killed two police officers and one sheriff's deputy yesterday. he died a short time later at the scene during a shootout with authorities. police say long was seeking out law enforcement to shoot. that ambush came just two weeks after baton rouge police shot and killed alton sterling during a confrontation. part of it was caught by p

upper 70s in coatesville. 79 now in allentown. drying out in trenton, mt. holly, and vineland, 80 degrees. these temperatures, warm, but cooler than yesterday, in fact, 10 degrees cooler than the same time yesterday. trenton, down by 9 for mt. holly. vineland, philadelphia, down by 6 in allentown and wilmington. 8 degrees cooler, 10 degrees cooler in dover. it feels a lot more comfortable, even though the humidity is still going to be high and make it feel like it's up to 90 degrees. the heat index, the feels-like temperature will be at 90 degrees, as we go into the afternoon, and even into the evening hours, early evening hours, then it finally starts to cool down. we're dropping down into the 70s overnight tonight. and it will be dry for the day today. showers and thunderstorms out of the picture, 8:30 this evening. just a few scattered clouds around. as we go into tomorrow, though, after a dry morning, clouds will be building. that's noontime or just after noon on saturday. watch the showers and potential for some thunderstorms popping up during the day
