last but not least, is charlie cobb. he grew up in springfield, massachusetts, and washington, d.c., but his mississippi roots run deep. his great grandfather in fact was a founder of new africa, an all black colony established in the mississippi delta in the 1880s. if you know where to look urk still see a road sign. after his freshman year at howard, he got on a bus to go to a civil rights training meeting in houston, texas. stopped off in jackson, and basically never left. as dory ladner says, he got gamed. charlie would work as a snik organizers chiefly in sunflower county in the delta. he would in 1964 be one of the primary architects of the mississippi summer project, though he was also someone who opposed the project. it was, i'm sure many of you have seen this document, this was charlie who wrote the prospectus for the freedom schools, schools intended in his words to fill an intellectual and create a vacuum in the lives of young negro mississippianss and so get them to articulate their own demands and questions.

police in cobb county, georgia, charged the father justin harris with murder in the death of his son. tonight we know more about the chain of evidence that may have led them to arrest him. authorities have apparently seized computers from his father's office. it allegedly has a search history on it that raises concerns and suspicions. martin savidge joins us from outside atlanta. what do we know now, martin? >> good evening, anderson. a source close to the investigation has spoken to hln's nancy grace and says as you point out there, there were a number of computers, work computers for the father that have now been seized, and apparently investigated. and that source says on one of those computers there was a search that specifically was looking for how long it takes for an animal to die in a hot car. now that would seem like an electronic smoking gun. however, it's quite clear to authorities they already felt that the father's excuse or explanation that this was an accident was unraveling. they felt that because just one look at the route he claims to have taken would show you that.

but we're learning from an officer with the cobb county pretty near atlanta that a lot of the detailsave changed since that tragedy on wednesday. they tell me, i've been in law enforcement for 34 years what i know about his case shocks my conscience, as a police officer, a father and a grandfather. now, that sergeant, sergeant dana pierce, is not being specific about the details that have changed. but he says that the story about the child being in the car at 9:00 a.m. before justin ross harris went to work. he can't confirm that boy was there. i also asked, did he drive straight to work and then head straight home. well, that sergeant says he also can't confirm if there was a stop before work or after work. here's how they found out that something here was not right. they said that the officer started to question justin harris as soon as he got to the scene and some of the answers he gave first responders did not add up. now harris was arrested and charged with first degree cruelty to a child and felony murder. he's pleaded not guilty but we're also told there's a possibility those c
