this is cobb and this is dekalb. the biggest area for jon ossoff, one of the reasons he has the lead at the moment narrowly is because he's running it up, as expect. now we have not only early vote, but some votes are coming in, 51-49 in dekalb county. the most democratic area of the district. he needs to keep the numbers in the ballpark of something like that, run up the vote total here to help him over here, where you see karen handel holding. this number has been pretty consistent all night long, a 20-point lead, 60-40 in the most conservative part of the district, the northern county of cobb county and the most populist county is the northern part of fulton county. karen handel ahead there at the moment, 53-47. if she can keep that lead, that bodes well for her. but if you come back to the full district, jon ossoff ahead at the moment, as we count the votes. and this is where now we have most of the early vote in, anderson, starting to get some of the votes cast today. this is a big turnout test for both parties.

the same day vote has come from from cobb county.etting 60% of the vote out of cobb. cobb is reflecting the oversaul share of the vote in this district and in the returns we're seeing it should. and karen handel jumping out to a solid lead. the votes that are cast today on election day, she's getting 58% of the votes that were cast on election day. she lost the preelection day vote, the early vote. she only lost it by 1.4 points. this is a number that the democrats thought they could get much higher. they did anticipate handel doing well but she did much better in the early vote than was expected. >> and steve with this, we got 66% of the vote in right now. we're looking at about 10,000 vote lead for handel. >> it's pretty spread out evenly. the same day vote karen handel winning at a clip of 58%. she's going to continue to lead it. she's going to get more votes out of the same day. the only thing if you're a democrat you have to latch on is the mail-in vote. nothing has been counted yet from the mail-in. 6500 mail-in votes for cast

at some point when the offender runs toward cobbs creek parkway that carries seen again at cobbs creekis. we are not sure if the offender got into had car but we are looking for people who may have been out there cobbs creek is a heavily traveled vehicle roadway and also, thomas avenue people come up and down there. not a lot of pedestrian traffic as we saw. is there only six homes, three twins and we're there on either side. so we don't after lot of pedestrian traffic but we know we have people traveling to that area that may have seen something. we are looking for a key tip to help as you the this point. councilman oh went through some surgery overnight, the concern immediately was that the stab wound where it was, at puncture wound may have hit organs, at penn presbyterian which is a great hospital here in the city. they went in there do exploring and determined he didn't have any damage. so, around 3:00 in the morning he finished surgery. his family was here this morning, and, he was just released from the hospital and on his way home at this point. but thankful for that conclusion
