. >>> in contra costa county, one city is about to revamp a popular park with a recent voter-approved tax that's generating tens of millions of dollars for the project. bob redell is live in walnut creek with the details on what's next in the process. >> reporter: for those of you who aren't familiar with heather farm community park in walnut creek, it is one of the largest parks here in contra costa county, and the city of walnut creek tells me about a million people visit here every year. very popular. the city council of walnut creek approved a conceptual design for providing the swim center and community center. both buildings are 50 years old and on opposite sides of the park. the new swim center would be north of the central playground that would change topography of the park and reduce the size of the fishing pond to make room for the new pool. the project will cost roughly $77 million. it will be heavily funded by tax revenue generated. we spoke with the city of walnut creek's director of arts and recreation about the next steps in the process. >> the city is next to be engage
