there's still a risk of explosion here in eastern contra costa county. so right now, about 4,000 people are under evacuation orders. that evacuation zone a couple of miles from where i'm standing. here's where they are coordinating the response at the contra costa county fire protection district and here's a look at the map of the evacuation zone. north broadway avenue to the west, summer way to the east and from suisun avenue to willow pass road. and here is what it looks like in that evacuation zone. authority are warning people at any point they could hear a noise that sounds like a jet engine. they should not panic. that is part of the venting process where they are trying to relieve pressure on this natural gas pipeline that is being threatened by the fire right now. let me take you back to how this all started. a fallen power line may have sparked the fire here in bay point at around 8:30 last night. and that fire still burning at this utility vault above the natural gas pipeline. chevron owns that line. it is a 12" high pressure gas line that runs
