i do like costco and walmart but those are well loved stocks and that is a risk if you're chasing the things that everybody likes already. >> that is a good point. meantime, will higher inflation cause the travel rebate come up snake eyes tony is taking his chips off the table so to speak. tony, what are you looking at. >> i'm looking at mgm. there has been a lot of optimism and strength around casinos but this is time to start with that strength if we look at a six month chart and we have this rising trend line that mgm has been on for six months we've broke below that trend line we've tested that as resistance just today so i think the risk/reward ratio is great at these levels recently mgm broke out above a $32 resistance level but as the market was peaking mgm continued to outperform the broader markets on the reopening optimism but that has pushed valuations to fairly extreme levels and it made sense when q4 levels were growing 31%, 34%, but as q1 revenues came in they decelerated down to 11% and we're seeing the online gambling stocks see a fair amount of multiple contraction, i

we checked with costco and walmart. costco is only vaccinating people ages 16 and up. walmart is only offering the moderna and j&j shots. both which require to be 18 or older. >>> that green light for pfizer came after a clinical trial in the u.s. involving 2200 12 to 15-year-olds. half got the vaccine, the others got a placebo. the results, pfizer says the shot is 100% effective with that age group. no one vaccinated got the virus. but 18 people who got the placebo got the virus. a fever was more likely to be reported taf second dose of the vaccine. even though no serious adverse side effects were reported during the trials, it is still possible that a rare side effect could be identified once the vaccine is administered widely. really widely in this age group. >> that leads us to johnson & johnson. we have new information about the j&j vaccine and the rare cases of blood clotting. the cdc now has identified a total of 28 people who have experienced that rare side effect at receiving the j&j vaccine. three of those people of those 28 have died. last month, the agency

costco earnings bidding estimates, topline and bottom-line, they had a good quarter. is not doing so well. this will not be indicative of what you saw. intraday trading was different. a lot of green on the screen, possibly anticipating some other good news. best buy and dollar general, both very strong. best buy in particular boosting their sales forecast after soaring revenue, and introducing plans for e-commerce delivery. this was something wilmot tried to do and wasn't able to. investors really like that. to the downside, dollar tree is sinking after costs were denting their bottom line. this will be key. when you have an earnings story that isn't as bright and rosie, investors don't react very well. given the environment of extra cash in the system. we did have a story out today that google and shopify were partnering to take on amazon. we have a one-year chart. you can see google has been outperforming amazon and so has shopify. they are giving amazon another reason to question some of their e-commerce dominant. emily: all right, thank you so much our bloomberg m
