[applause] i want to tell you a little bit about -- the left does hate the bill of rights. why? because the bill of rights talks about things that the government can't do and that to them is like blasphemy. that's the absolute worst because they want to use government. let's talk a little bit about why the bill of rights was written and why it exists and why it matters and why it matters still today especially today, especially now. now i don't have to tell you we are facing a lot of albums as a country. we have more problems than a math book was to those problems a disproportionate share of them come from government and their need of a solution. we have rancor division a clamor of loud voices crying out in opposite directions all across the country.

so far this weekend at cpac what stood out for you? was it the reverence for donald trump?sive extent to which the lies about the steal persist? >> well, all of the above, kim. for me the most memorable thing from cpac so far is definitely the golden statue of trump. it's the perfect metaphor for the deck a depends of the gop under trump. but in terms of the content you have to look at two speeches, one by matt gaetz and on gaetz called the pro-trump wing of the republican party its main attraction. cruz said that trump isn't going anywhere anytime soon. i think that's important because it shows what the zeitgeist is, namely among their circles trump isn't subordinate to anyone within today's gop, especially within the eyes of voters. i think that reflects the infrastructure behind trump in terms of right wing media and republican allies on capitol hill willing to support basically whatever he does. i think all of that support hasn't dissipated much and we are seeing that front and center here at cpac. >> you know, one thing i found interesting was that president biden wasn

let's switch to cpac.t's where, of course, formerly president trump will be speaking soon, and according to excerpts on taped by nbc news ahead of his remarks trump plans to say the journey started is far from over and will also attack president biden. do you think donald trump has any chance of staying on script? >> donald trump is never capable of staying on script so i'm sure his advisers are having a slight panic attack as the hours approach when he's going to take the stage because that is usually the people behind the scenes worrying what he'll see and how detrimental it will be and what kind of cleanup is required after it. i expect this speech to be one big promulgation of doubling down on the big lie and push the election fraud narrative and attack biden and his immigration policies. he'll come out swinging. >> yeah. >> he doesn't have twitter anymore. >> exactly. >> he hasn't been able to vent repeatedly. >> yeah. >> so this is his opportunity to get it all off his chest. >> yeah. i'm with you th
