"good morning maryland," i'm charlie crowson. megan pringle is out live this morning getting ready for the sailabration, give us a wave megan. there she is. there she is. we begin this thursday morning with breaking news right now out of anne arundel county. word just after 1:30 this morning of a crash involving a wrong way driver and right now one person is dead. this along i-97 in millersville and abc2 news sherrie johnson is live with all new detail this is morning. >> reporter: we are here in anne arundel county. about a mile away from the crash site. the cash happened about 1:30 this morning. and it happened at the intersection of i-97 and ben field road. and yes, maryland state police tell us that one of the drivers may have been going in the wrong direction. of course, authorities are still on the scene at this hour, you know trying to figure out exactly what happened here this morning. but they said it was a hyundai and a honda and one of them might have been going the wrong way and crashed into the other one. one driver

abc 2 new' charley crowson out live with the cleanup efforts going on. >>reporter: megan, good morning to you. the national weather service has now confirmed a dozen tornadoes touched down in maryland last week, anywhere from ef-0 to ef-1. one of those tornadoes was here in falston. i want to show you the path here. earlier this morning we talked to jeff stoalts and he was in his office here at bippers automotive when the storm hit. you can see the tops of trees have been sheered off, the path of damage right here, this truck a complete loss. as many of the week has gone on, many of these businesses have been out of business for the last couple of days picking up the pieces, leaving piles of debris right here. right over here, we're going to walk and talk with you right now, want to show you how things are going right now. this has really stalled these businesses across parts of falston. also this morning, want to show you this really quickly, keith matthews, this was his detailing shop right here, completely gone. but we can report he is in rehab this m

good morning, maryland, i'm charley crowson. linda -- megan pringle with us as well. linda stow is town at inner harbor. >> we'll check in with her in just a little bit. >>> rainy yesterday, what's in store for today? here's meteorologist lynette charles. >> good morning. the rain has moved out of the area. we look at radar, it's dry right now but not before putting down lots of rainfall across the area. let's start with that. over three inches in elkton. we're also looking at churchville that got over two inches of some rainfall. so some heavy rainfall totals, needed that, but at the airport we only got about .30 inch of rain. as we look at temperatures this morning, coming in the upper 60s in elkton. 67 degrees right now in churchville. with all that rain we are still watching a coastal flood advisory for the areas shaded in the blue color. we also do have flash flood warning the further off toward the north and east you go, maybe if you're heading to new jersey, you will be running into that until about 6:00 this morning. i'll talk about when the dry weather -- or

. >> i'm charley crowson. let's get to our weather locally with lynette charles. >> good morning, charley and megan. let's talk about tropical storm debby. winds sustained at 35 miles an hour. downgraded, it did make landfall last evening and the track now takes it back out into the open waters of the atlantic, so it could restrengthen, but the good news is as we go through time it will push away from land. the satellite and radar still picking up on lots of rainfall across this area, florida, and they've already received about 22 inches of rain and they're going to get more in a lot of spot. maybe three feet of rainfall before all is said and done. here at home, though, we are not dealing with any type of rain at all. we are dealing with mostly clear skies and that translates into lots of sunshine for today. mid-50s in elkton, a cool morning once again. make sure you have the jacket as you head out and about. it will be breezy into the afternoon hours like we saw yesterday. i'll talk more about tropical depre
