chp canceled the traffic alert along eastbound 80 at cummings skyway. all lanes are opened and traffic is moving. all lanes were shut down overnight. it was a fatal accident so it took a while to clear it about three hours. good news through there. westbound still seeing brake lights. i'll show you on our maps you can see traffic slow westbound as you work your way across the carquinez bridge to san francisco across oakland through the bay bridge. just a heads up, there is an accident in the backup at maritime academy that's clearing. northbound 101 at capitol expressway in the south bay we have one lane blocked for an injury accident. delays back to at least hellyer at this point if not beyond that. slow along 101. another wreck northbound at 280 is cleared out of lanes but again you have a lot of yellow and red on our sensors so that means traffic is sluggish as you work your way northbound at least 14 minutes to go from 280/680 to 237. capitol expressway accident is it right before that, as well. use 280. that's the best bet to get around the delays.

but we had an earlier crash on eastbound interstate 80 right near the cummings skyway.-ended a car. that person in the car was killed. there were also a couple of other crashes that were a little bit more minor, but all seemed to be related to some roadwork that was going on here eastbound 80 in the cummings skyway. this is a picture of the very first crash that happened when a medical -- an ambulance rear ended a cement truck. those people were injured. in total, there were three accidents at this scene beginning at about 1:30. they finally cleared at about 7:00 this morning. and the traffic is finally rolling well. again, unfortunately, one person as a result of these crashes, one person was killed. chp continues its investigation, even though all the lanes are clear. this is 80 westbound as you head out to the macarthur maze. there are no major problems, but it is going to be slow. it's backed up. this is a locations highway 4 westbound as you come up over the willow pass bridge. still a little bit of late commute coming up and over the hill. i told you about it, but
