let's go ahead and turn now to our cynthia pimentel. cynthia, how's it feeling out there? is it still windy? the winds are starting to calm down, but we do have more of it in store throughout the weekend. not going to be as gusty as today, but it could ruin some weekend plans out there. so let's take a look at those wind speeds now they've calmed down through san jose, oakland, walnut creek. it was really gusty out there. san francisco those wind speeds still remain at about 22 miles an hour. so that sea breeze is definitely cooling things down this evening. i've got more details right now to help you plan your weekend in our microclimate forecast, and we're taking a look at satellite and radar. some of those clouds, especially down here in san jose. the mountains look a little ominous this afternoon. you might have been thinking, is there some rain nearby? there was a couple of disturbances out towards the east. the sierra. right now we're seeing just a few sprinkles. some of that might not even be hitting the ground. it's evaporating before it touches the surface. so tha

thanks, cynthia. up next, the feds are taking another close look at tesla. why? the company's autopilot is coming under from the national highway traffic safety administration. it analyzed 956 crashes in which the feature was believed to have been in use. it found autopilot contributed to nearly half of those crashes, with 13 resulting in fatalities. the agency also said the software update issues issued as part of a recall last november, last december, excuse me, was probably inadequate. their evidence new crashes linked to autopilot continue to be reported. san francisco city college is trying to give students who are non citizens more of a voice. school board of trustees approved a measure today. it will allow students who are not citizens to vote in electing the trustees. so right now to qualify, student must be at least 18 years old and a resident of san francisco. but the school estimates the measure would make thousands more students eligible to vote. the measure will have to pass through a citywide ballot measure before taking effect. all right. up next,
