how long could the daca recipients breathe a little easy? >> i'm very glad that the supreme court affirmed or didn't reverse the decision at the federal court. and that does give six months or so until there is -- until they hear the case. but that's not a permanent fix. and the court's reasoning was straight forward and said that these kids filled out a form. and it's important to understand what they did. they filled out a form. and they had to disclose as much information as i did when i had my background check when i was a federal appointee. they filled out medical history, street addresses, paid thousands of dollars of legal fees and our government made them a promise. if you do this we'll give you legal status. the court found that the united states needs to keep its word. and i'm glad the supreme court didn't reverse that. but the supreme court is going to hear the case. and the only permanent fix will be if congress acts. >> and we are now out of time, congressman, thank you for talking with us about this really important issue. and
