how has it been being a dad.sometimes recoil from a question from a child about what happened to your hand. >> yeah. >> i'll be honest. i had hesitation becoming a parent. i wondered if my condition was something that could be passed along and how my charge would look at me. the question that starts the book, my youngest daughter asked me time in her preschool class, dad, do you like your little hand? they are in a classroom where i had my most uncomfortable moment where is i hide my hand in my pocket. she said do you like your little hand? that question took me by -- i was so surprised by it. i didn't know what to answer in front of the children. i told her that i did. i liked my little hand. i didn't always like it and it wasn't always fair, but it taught me a lot of important lessons. it taught me that if you can believe in yourself and what you can do and be just a little creative, nothing can stop you. in a lot of ways, the book is my answer to her in the long form of whether or not do i like my little hand.
