north dakota's public schools. teachers are leaving, retiring or, quitting we hear this all the time. some buildings are aging. funding is always an issue. what are each of your views and solutions on funding public schools and retaining teachers in the state. katrina christiansen. ms. christiansen: this is a good question. so glad you asked. one of the reasons i decided to become a politician, to run for federal office is because i was really worried about the funding at my son's school after the pandemic. currently there is not a speech teacher at my son's school in person. at my son's high school, there isn't a spanish teacher. last year are you to get online and it was so frustrating -- for him he took it online, and it was so frustrating to see him struggle with that class online. what we need to do is recognize the power of the federal government. we can fully fund education. there are things we can do to help out the state of north dakota, to help our teachers, to help our students. we can fully fund special

that is not in north dakota valley. we have almost 8000 independent ranchers here and since we don't have country of origin labeling, they have lost out on a 35% margin. incredible amount of mon for independent beef producers. and i will always support our beef producers. that is the first bill i will introduce when i go to d.c. sen. cramer: the cattlemen beef association are the 8000 renters she is talking about, you don't get tooth onhe one hand beat against tm and in on the other hand,, b for tm. this isn't a unified msage even within range country because most north dakota renters want access to the markets that they want access to. the legislation she is talkg about would prohibit them from having that freedom. we need to make sure our ranchers can market the way they want. i have been a major sponsor, in fact, the lead introducer of the legislation to knock down barriers for more opportunities to market our beef as well as other products. it's an ongoing fight that will eventually get settled probably somewhere in
