dan? >> we can't wait to hear that. developing news out of hayward. the city council unanimously approved a contract that cuts the pay and benefits of some city workers despite a city protest outside city hall. the councilmembers voted in favor of this 5% cut. the city says it needs the money to avoid a fiscal crisis. those affected include clerical, maintenance and animal control workers who earn between $50,000 and $78,000 a year. the most recent cut is on top of a 12% pay and benefits cut agreed to in recent years. >>> we have new details about a crash involving an oakland utility truck. the city is set to pay $2 million in connection with that accident. at least six people were hurt when the van ran a red light two years ago as we reported at the time sending an suv into the front of the nail salon. one of the victims sued and the city council was expected to approve a $2 million settlement. a lawsuit by a second victim is still pending. >>> a lot more to bring you. coming up next on a
