dan hausle live in boston with more. dan? reporter: there was a little extra work today because boston as the target of a cyber threat today in schools but turns out it wasn't related at all to the l.a. situation. they say despite the threats in new york and here in boston should not be worried at all. more than 600,000 los angeles school students stayed home after an e-mail threat reportedly involving bombs in student backpacks. threat but decided it was a hoax and kept the schools open. boston schools stayed open too because the mayor says boston never got any kind of threat. >> at this time we have no reason to think there's any threats towards boston or our schools or any of our agencies. i want all of our parents, teachers and city workers and residents to know, our city is safe and our schools are safe. reporter: a cyber attack did shut down all boston schools' internet for about 20 minutes starting at 9:00 this morning. city officials are convinced the internet attack has nothing to do with the e-mail threat to l.a. an

dan hausle is live from boston. dan, what is the latest you are hearing? >> reporter: well, chipotle this afternoon saying it is more likely what got those students sick at their cleveland circle sick restaurant is appearing to be coli. as city inspectors say they found three violations at the restaurant. and chipotle says city health officials agree with them that the pattern among the sickened students looks more like norovirus than e. coli which sickened 50 customers in nine states. norovirus is spread from contaminated people or surfaces. among the violations city inspectors say they found at chipotle was hot steak and chicken founds if not at the required temperature. and employee allowed to work sick last thursday even though they shouldn't have been there. and a manager not doing his or her job preventing spread of illness. city inspectors couldn't say whether any of these violations led to the sickness. >> we have statutory requirements that every restaurant is required to attain. >> are any of these critical violations? >> yes, they are. the food

dan hausle has more -- danielle gersh has more. >> reporter: keep in mind as it moved through texas over the weekend, it produced deadly tornadoes. you can see the southern gulf coast up to chicago, still dealing with a lot of weather. so the threat for tornadoes is still there this morning into about noon time today. a tornado watch in effect for parts of mississippi into alabama. even parts of florida as well. we have a couple of tornado warnings, too. so that's something to keep a very close eye on. as we head north also through threat for very strong and can be damaging those straight-line winds as well. also flash flooding a threat. up towards chicago, nebraska you could see all of that heavy rain has turned to snow and then we'll see the wintry mix, as we head into tomorrow. 24 hours from now that will change. bri, back to you on that. >> yeah, danielle, we'll run through the timeline once again for us. us. if you're up past midnight, i think between 1:00 and 6:00, a potential for seeing the snowflakes. but then changing over to a wintry mix. 24 -- this doesn't mean we're out of th
