. >> dan hellie, the procedure and how long it could be before the franchise quarterback gets on thetball field? >> a big variance in the timetable for his return. that's what we are finding out, six to 12 months before robert griffin iii its ready for action. statement released by his surgeon, dr. james andrews says they repaired his acl and reconstructed his acl and they hope and believe rg 3 will be ready for the 2013 season because of his high motivation. motivation is great. but you can't be sure the redskins aren't taking any chances with griffin this time around. he will stay in florida to start rehab and won't put any weight on the right leg for the first six weeks after the surgery. first two months of rehab, most crucial. the second time rg 3 had acl reconstruction in the right knee since 2009. the first time when he was at baylor, back on the field working out with the team just after five months. football fans staw what adrian did this year and think everyone can return from acl at elite level. rg3's injury is more significant and will require longer rehab time. coming up
