dan springer joins us from las vegas. of developments today. >> yeah, and a couple of very interesting developments. one is that the police have changed the timeline on when that security guard was shot. they now say it happened before the gunman opened fire on the crowd that's significant because it means the first shots in this massacre were fired in the hallway at jesus campos that went to the 32nd floor to check on an open door alarm. campos heard the sound of drilling. 6 minutes after firing the 200 rounds or so into the hallway at campos, stephen paddock unleashed thousands of bullets on the festival. it was almost nonstop for 11 minutes. campos prevented a chance for escape and saved a co-worker's life. >> he immediately notified security of his situation. in close proximity to campos being shot, there was a maintenance worker that presented himself on the 32nd floor and mr. campos prevented hum from receiving any injuries. >> when s.w.a.t. officers blew down that door and got inside, they said it looked like a gun
